    Still very happy on the boat in Tanja marina but now considering going back to Gibraltar for the repair. The work on the boom has now ground to a halt as the man from Rif Mountains was too busy so work was not going forward. Decision made, a new chapter begins. Sail to Gibraltar in the morning.

It is a thriving modern city where you can buy almost everything which easily slips into another world leading to a complex labyrinth of dwellings and little shops around and in the Medina and the Kasbah.

    In the last days of August we left UK to head for the Carribbean via the Canary islands. That was the general plan anyway! Always bending to the wind with Captain Neptune and to the general adventurous nature of our lives at sea.

    On the full moon, some days previous to leaving Newry on the 21 st of July, we cycled the three km to Victoria Lock to wave good bye to our friends John, Peter and Shaun. They had been our neighbors this winter moored nearby in Albert Basin which had been our collective safe haven.
